Dropping by....

Been a while, being honest havent been fucked to write fuck all about my loife!

Have been following my beloved band Keane around over a span of 3 weeks (not at all dates but it was spread out over 3 weeks) which was good one at the early stage of the machine in motion, which was my best gig until the mighty mcmightyness of Ze 02 Arena Londres! Going on tour for me is a few days to forget all my woes and worries and have fun, generally its a laugh a min, with some of my dear friends that ive had the pleasure to meet along the way we say cunt lots, im personally in the process of getting as many people as I can to use it - im a bad ass really....

Its always good to see your band go from the small intimate to the glory and lavishiness of the big arenas, something Keane pull off pretty damn convincingly. Newcastle being my first on the tour which was everything and more - everything slipped into place Gold Jackets, massive light curtains the stubtley of the b stage with the regal pipes of Chappers ringing out around the Arenas, wowed all those watching him. I find on the whole the Northern gigs are much more rawkus and people go to be involved as apposed to London etc etc who go to be impressed (maybe im generalising but i've been to a hell of a lot of gigs and seen it). We had the best time dancing with all the geordies. The only time I heard the heartbreakingly beautiful rendition of EW, Tom brings so much more to the song than Gwen ever could.

Subsquent gigs for what ever reason just didnt hit the mark, laid back crowds, I mean sure they love the band but im a sucker for the passion in peoples eyes, played out with dancing and singing every word as if your life depended on it. Its one reason I'd love to see the band in a Latin American venue just to feel that the ott sense of love the band gets there. We enjoy the gigs nevertheless but its hard when you have corpses around you who look at you like you should be locked up for dancing or leaping...no joke!

After the July 07 trauma of the 02 we decided we wouldnt stand we would get seated, but its sod's law that they go and add another date so we stood for the final night of the tour, first night was NICE, we had a meal rocked up royally late and chatted to those in the queue that had been there since umm ooooo 6am! We took our seats in a nice block with a great view. Man im only ever going in a seat if I have no legs, even then I think I chance a roll to the barrier! Tom was struggling with a terrible cold and his voice was suffering badly, he pushed through and as per gave his all but although seriously packed to the rafters the atmoshpere was not there, we wanted to stand and dance but were acutely aware that others around us werent really digging that until the ole SOWK was rolled out - then we stood and danced for the final 4 songs. Its all an experience they say but one I wont be repeating.

Now friday, if you are ever looking for shade and light in 2 gigs on the bounce there it was - various traffic problems and not having the will to live meant I didnt arrive to q until 12.30ish already a crowd of the regs where there. We were greeted by a small group that I chat to on MSN so lovely to meet Dorr, a cooler than cool chick from Estionia, a real doll and the sophisiciated Ava( who is nearly 30! but looks like 21!) all th
e girls are great, come from all over the world one of thee coolest things Keane does brings us in from all over. If I ever owned a venue (which I would do if I had SERIOUS amounts of cash) the way to get in would certainly favour the fan, instead of quite frankly risking there health and saftey. We were hearded in like lambs going to market then, its a crazy mad dash into the arena and standing area of the venue, anyhoo we ended up on Tims side. Boy from the min the band came on stage with Tom strutting along the crowds getting them to rise to his baying requests for noise and clapping the room was fucking electric such a total contrast from the night before. They rip into The Lovers Are Losing and we obilge them with dancing and singing...the top end of the setlist is rentless in its pace and track after track rolls on then comes our personal fav "Again And Again" 'was it all in real time, or was it all in my mind....gets us shouting the lyrics at the band telling them we get it, we feel it feeding them our enjoyment. Tom adds such a bite and vitrol to some of the lyrics its hard to not want to scream back at him, I dred to think what he thinks when he sees us almost leaping over the barrier singing and dancing..."when you are alone and afraid"... I turn to see the masses having a party, arms pointing Hitleresq at Chappers ahh its such a great site to see.

The sense of unity you can feel at a gig is quite stagg
ering....how is that? its quite magical eh... It was in all a great gig which I shant bore you with but band and fans alike left the gig on an ulitmate high....
